Why, just last week I finished for me this beautiful Highland Triangle (from Folk Shawls).
Chocolate Lorna's Laces Sheperd Worsted, seven balls on US 4 - I'm a loose goose, but it turned out beautiful and I call it my lap shawl because the sucker came out so darn big.
I never check gauge anymore when knitting shawls because I use the yarn and needles I like no matter what, so bigger is better and I'm sticking to that - LOL!
I also finished my girl/co-worker Ollie's "Sheena Shawl" (from Hunt Valley Cashmere) in late November. Ollie didn't care what color/yarn I used so long as it was lacy and beautiful. So I destashed 600 yards of pink zephyr on US 2 and it came out lacy and lite and since Ollie is so much taller and thinner ... it blocked big enough. Here Sheena is blocking on the foam boards me and Knitster Chelle got from Home Depot. We did good Chelle.
And here Ollie is modeling her finished, beautiful Sheena!
Go Ollie! Who said skinny women are evil - LOL! Only Ollie - LOL!
Well, I think I'm fini posting for today. Boy, three pictures in one post, I'm getting darn good wouldn't you say Chelle. Now I only have to spend a day with Chelle and a computer so I can learn how to put links on the side of my page and links in my post - LOL! I'm getting there!
I'm going to go and plot my projects for 2007. Currently, I've been commissioned to knit the half hexagon from Victorian Lace Today. The buyer selected Habu Cashmere dark red (which I got at Loop). I cast on for the commission on xmas night (and I have until July to finish the commission). This shawl is absolutely beautiful. I'll post pics in a few days.
Well, everyone have a happy and safe New Year!
